TLC History
1996
10.09.96 – Technology Leasing Concepts, Inc. is founded in Tom Shockley’s home and he sells (10) 3477’s to Ethan Allen, Inc. the first day. Tom is the only employee.
11.18.96 – TLC moves from Tom’s house to 1600 Huguenot Road and Susan Jacobs comes on board to give TLC its AS/400 punch in both the new and used markets.
12.12.96 – Alva Latta comes on board to begin to build TLC’s back office and to keep Tom and Susan’s numbers straight. During this year TLC surpassed 1 million in yearly revenue.
1997
09.03.97 – Cathy Redford moves over from Arthur Anderson as Sr. V.P. of Marketing, taking over TLC’s conference room to fill out TLC’s marketing force.
1999
10.01.99 – TLC moves into their new offices at 401 Southlake Blvd. and updates its technology as well as creates the much needed room to expand.
12.12.99 – TLC surpasses 2 million in yearly revenue.
2000
01.10.00 – Scott Lints comes on board to take over wholesale trading and to allow Susan to focus full time on her customers.
07.31.00 – With TLC’s portfolio growing, Gene Strickland comes on board (from GD Packaging) as Financial Controller, allowing Alva to focus on the complete revamping of lease accounting.
08.16.00 – Wendy Stinnett brings her high energy and quiet concentration from the Boy Scouts of America to round out the TLC reception and lease accounting areas.
12.20.00 – TLC’s new IBM RS/6000 is delivered and the much anticipated website begins to be constructed. During this year TLC surpassed 3.5 million in yearly revenue.
2001
03.01.01 – Graphics Lab, Inc. completes TLC’s website and the much talked about online lease database service is launched!
03.10.01 – Ann Welch joins TLC as the receptionist; however, with her excellent documentation skills she begins to handle all lease documentation and becomes the Documentation Manager.
2003
04.21.03 – Niki Payne joins TLC as Marketing Associate. She will assist Susan and Cathy with the daily marketing aspects of TLC.
06.02.03 – Lisa Brown joins TLC as the Manager of Lease Accounting. Lisa will be in charge of the financial aspects with leasing.
2005
11.19.05 – TLC moves into their new office at 557 Southlake Blvd. where the company continues to grow.
12.10.05 – TLC surpasses 7 million in yearly revenue.
2006
10.09.06 – TLC celebrates its 10 year anniversary.
2007
12.15.07 – TLC surpasses 13 million in yearly revenue.
2008
01.14.08 – Ryan Custalow comes on board with TLC as Marketing Assistant. He will be assisting Tom in his new venture.
